It's Now or Never to Become Fabulous!!!

For many, the New Year represents another chance to do things differently, and I am no different. For me, 2012 is the year I decided it is “Now or Never.” This is not a gimmicky phrase I came up with to encourage myself at the beginning of a new year and then forget. I mean it. I made a decision that at the end of 2011, my dream had been deferred. Instead of being the living personification of Langston Hughes’ “Dream Deferred” poem, I decided now is the time to take my fabulous life to the next level. 

I have always wanted to be a part of the entertainment and lifestyle industry for quite some time, but the success of my dreams has eluded me. I myself have always known I am a brand, so I decided I would finally share my brand with everyone the best way I know how which is via this blog.

Being fabulous to me is about what is on the inside of you which uncontrollably permeates out. I believe Edna Woolman Chase said it best, “Fashion can be bought, style one must possess.” You are unable to buy fabulous, it must come from within deep in your soul. Do not think for a single moment that being fabulous is all about glitz and glam, it is about expressing who you are through every aspect of your life.

When I go shopping, I honestly do not care about what everyone else is wearing or doing. I do not desire to be anyone else but Daryl J. at the end of the day. I seek clothing that has what I call “Darylisms.” A Darylism is that thing, or things, which makes what I am looking for unique and speaks to the core of who I am as a fabulous person.

So my ultimate goal is to provide everyone reading my blog the details on how to make their life fabulous! Fabulous does not always mean wearing the newest labels, driving the hottest cars, etc. Fabulous is what you make it and I plan to tell you how. Because to be fabulous, you have to know what makes you fabulous!!!
